Hi Guys
Just a short update. I want to get in a walk while the sun is shining and before Bill gets home.
Walking is STILL difficult. I can’t seem to break past 20 minutes and then I usually have pain issues. Physio said it could be the central stenosis…
The good news is that I CAN do 30 min on the elliptical without any pain issues. Just going slow – about 34 rpm or whatever it measures in. Used to do 60. Never mind, used to do’s will kill you.
Physio was really stumped by the neurosurgeon’s guidelines to them. Do aquasize in the pool. Point. Stop. Nothing else. I told him what he had told me – no lateral flexion, rotation, bending or lifting. He was as puzzled as I was.
Went over what I was doing on my own. Added the bridge. Standing on the toes. He’s going to see if he can find out why and I go back next week…
Sorry I haven’t answered everyone’s email. Family stuff and not all of it good. Plus just now seem to be turning a corner where I’m feeling better.
Managed to cut my pain meds down from 60mg twice a day to 30mg twice a day and not much in the way of breakthrough pain…cross your fingers. I’m going to try to go lower…
Also need to stop the anti-inflammatories. My gut is killing me. The doc didn’t want me to do that at the same time as I am cutting back on the MS Contin. Got gut pills now…can’t win.
Everybody grab someone you love, give them a great big hug and tell them you love them. Life is really short.
