This is a good exercise for mobilizing the spine. Definitely do not do this without permission from your physician.

The main thing is that you go very slowly through your spine sending the tailbone down towards the ground and pressing into the hands sending the midback up as well. At the end, the head is reaching for the floor. The abdominal muscles keep the spine in flexion as you take a full inhale and exhale in this postion.

As you move back to neutral – don’t go into extension – keep the back flat- move just as slowly through the spine trying to feel each vertebrae as you move through the spine.
